Raw Science - Raw Feeding Shows Drop in Tumors

Lumps & Bumps often lead to the question, "Is it cancerous?" and have us stressing about our pet's health and wellbeing. We've believed for a long time that what you put into your pet's body had a direct effect on their overall health with raw & fresh feeding being at the top of our list.

It might seem too good to be true, but the numbers don't lie! A study on survey results from over 7,500 dogs showed dogs who were fed raw animal proteins at a young age were significantly less likely to develop neoplasias (tumour-forming tissue) compared to those who ate a cooked or processed diet in their early years, regardless of if that diet was a commercial meal or home-prepared.

The study also notes the importance of raw food, specifically in the early stages of a young dog's life, shortly after weaning. This is when their body is interacting with antigens for the first time and developing their microbiota, so it's essential to expose them to as many new proteins as possible during this time!
